Does anyone remember when Muhammad Ali came to MAHS in 1976?

The word went around that they were giving out tickets to his fight against Richard Dunn at the McGraw Kasern gym. I managed to get down there and I got two 600 Mark tickets. I went to the fight that night - morning actually, it was fought at 3 am so it could be seen in prime time in the US. A couple of days later he came to MAHS.

I still have the program and tickets from that night. A great memory.

Could he have come in 1977? I have a vague memory of his visit.I did not personally see him but I remember friends talking about him visiting. It was a really big deal!

I think it was '76. It kinda was a big deal. He was quite the showman, everytime he'd make a face, he'd turn so all the photographers could get a picture. His limo had giant pics of his face on all the doors, the hood and the trunk.

I remember this event quite well. I used to have a photo copy of his autograph which I have misplaced over time. I recall a girl asking what Ali called a punch, the girl proceeded to swing her arm at her shoulder. I do not remember what Ali said it was called, but I think Ali went into his sting like a bee quote...
