Not at all. It was quite enlightening, actually. I envy you!

Glad Ralph asked. I have been dying to ask, but couldn´t figure out how to do it without seeming nosy. Which ofcourse I am not at all.

MB, since you have all that free time, are you going to go see the Pope today?

I also envy the time you get to spend with your family.

Oh yeah, thanx for the trading tip!!

Well, it's interesting that you guys were interested in what I do for a living...perhaps we should have a thread where we put that specifically...might help with networking...if someone has a question about something they can look on the board and see who specializes in that and ask them a question...sound like a good idea? Let me know and I'll add the thread. Of course, Carolyn's MyFace suggestion is a good one...as is LinkedIn....and both could serve the same purpose.

But since this is about ME and you were interested in what I was doing here's something else I'm pretty proud of:

http://www.CinemArts.org

No, Jon, no Pope for me today...though it is his birthday and I did buy him a nice hat and a foam #1 finger (how about that...an inside board joke). I don't really have "free time" exactly...I can take it little by little...and it works out because i generally use it on the family. But then, when we get busy...we get really busy....and I disappear in my little office for days on end. Still...i probably have a bit more free time than is normal since my commute is usually just the 15 steps up to my office. Sometimes I even put on socks...

Sounds like a good idea to me for those who don't use MyFace (like it!) or LinkedIn, and even for those of us who do.

It's a Colbert. And actually, I screwed it up...he referred to it as "the MyFace" which drives the point home as to why we 40+ year olds have more contacts on LinkedIn!

What is it like to be in your 40s? I haven't hit them yet.

:?: :?: :?:

Moose is the one claiming he hasn't hit 40 yet. He must have skipped a couple of grades if that is the case, which would make him an atypical defensive lineman.

oh, i HEAR you! But that brings to mind, Moose, something I was thinking the other day...at our age ten years really isn't all that much anymore...hell, i have underwear and socks that are at least that old...and my grandfather was less than ten years older than I am now when he died...and I remember him as an old man.

I don't think 40 (or 50, or 60 for that matter) is what it was back when we were kids...When my grandfather was MY age he'd raised a family, fought in a war, and worked at a single job for about 25 years.

I have a feeling he would have been a tad disappointed in my varied career as a renovator, a sign maker, a comic book store clerk, an immigration processor, another comic book store clerk, a hardware store clerk, an immigration consultant, ANOTHER comic book store clerk, a cabinet installer/refinisher, and a photographer...AND THAT WAS JUST THE 90s!

Careers and marriage and kids don't seem to come quite at the same time as they used to.

I get the feeling that age has become more and more irrelevant...

...except in those Girls Gone Wild videos...

...or so I'm told...

Watch it partner. I am a former semi-god defensive lineman from UTEP! You know how Texas football players walk on water, right?! We used to skip the lines outside night clubs while everyone else waited to get in. We were like the pro team from west Texas.

My face is good, but this place is more fun. I wish you could hear me laughing.
