Does anyone remember when the Senior Prank was to remove the trunk from the Elephant and weld it to the hubcap on the principles car? Maybe back around 86 to 89?

That's when I used to skateboard with Dawn Phelps, she always wore her signature black Jack Daniel's T-Shirts.

I was really into skateboarding at the Family Theatre and the Olympic Park. We made ramps and rode our freestyle bikes a lot. My crew was Stewart (white dyno), TJ (purple) Heidi, Kyle, Susan, and Dawn Phelps. Sorry, I know there were tons more, but I can't remember at the moment.

We also played a lot of pool at the Rec Center by Burger King, especially in the Winter. I must confess I used to always get Ice Cream on the way to school, even when it was freezing outside. Remember we would take the trucks off our boards and make mini-snow boards out of our skates?

I miss you all and hope I touch base with some of you soon. I would have graduated in 92 but I had a short stay at MAHS. Those of you in my class may remember the infamous “I teach discipline!” or the Wednesday Mile Runs where we used to goof off and run around the cars parked along the sidewalk.

Wow. Did that actually happen? I mean, I draw the line at permanent defacement and destruction of personal property (I'd say removing the nose welding it to the Principal's hub cap would qualify). Whatever happened to harmless tomfoolery?

Yeah! That rabbit's hair eventually grew back to its normal color!

But seriously, I am really kind of horrified at ANY MAHS alumni thinking it would be okay to deface our precious pachyderm.

Martin,

I'm not sure if you have gotten a hold of Dawn Phelps yet, buy my father still keeps in touch with her father. I would have graduated in 91, but my sister was in Dawn's class. We left in 86.

Dawns Mother Mary Phelps is on Facebook. So I would imagine you can find Dawn through her mother. Perhaps she is even listed as a friend on her Mom's facebook page. If you can't find her get ahold of me. I know her Mom and Dad very well and can find out.
