...sigh....

Billy, thanks for stepping up and giving us something to look forward to!

I've had my MAHS shirt on all day, wishing I could have a do-over of last weekend...

The fog's finally lifting, was finally able to look at all the pics...I'm not sure a week's ever gone by as fast as this one, hardly seems possible, but there you have.

Nice to see some buzz about the "next big thing". Three years out! And I thought we were whacked when we started kicking things around for D.C. two years before the event.

Billy...don't try to do this all by yourself, find three or four folks who are as ready and willing as you to get the ball rolling. And then pick up a couple of more to check your thinking when you're about 9-12 months out.

There's no way D.C. would have happened like it did without the group me and Mr. Bill co-erced into helping us!!

Tony

Tony,

Perhaps you and the other D.C. board members could submit a sort of checklist, an SOP if you will? What we in the military (er...former military) would sometimes call a "pass-on book." I'd love to try to publish it electronically for all to reference, at least as a starting off point for future reunion planners. This could be a living document, to add onto and refine as the years pass, although I must say you lot set the bar pretty high with this last one!

No Problem in me stepping up. Tony I have been talking to Mr .Bill and he is giving advice, As far as me doing it by myself,, I dont even comprehend
doing it by myself. I am looking for poeple to help me.I just want to get it started before everyone loses the reunion feeling. Maybe (No offence)but I wont more poeple to attend next time.

Class reps. being formed now.. Sign up now. Anyone with ideas let us know..

Munich will always be very special to me and all of you will too..
I sometimes set back and look at the yrbk and go back in time and remember friends and the places we all visited while there.

Enough of that .. Anyone that wants to help[ drop me a line........

Billy

Ralph...already working on it. We got some advice from some 70's folk who'd done a DC thing a year ago, will include those pearls as well. Lots of lessons learned, no need to go thru the grinder again if you don't need to...but then, I know some people like the angst! :)

as a last minute, coat tails, committee member, i didn't share in the angst. but i shared in all the fun. billy--it is a hell of a lot of fun being involved in the reunion. i now wish that i'd been in on it from the beginning. you're gonna have a ball planning another one. and so will all the people who help you. and you may find, like i did, that you become extremely fond of the people in the trenches with you. our committee was made of very different personalities. i think that's a really good thing. everyone has a forte.

Jojo,

May your wish be granted. I just volunteered for the 2010 reunion committee. Why don't you come join me? We could use all of your institutional knowledge. Share the wealth!

darling ralphalfa, i think its best left to the new blood. i'd always be saying "well when we did it.... (blah blah blah)". and there is nothing quite as irritating as that! besides which, i don't have any expertise, as i was, as i mentioned, a bit of a coat-tails, train-jumper. but i will definitely be there!
