"Wolverines!"

Oh, sorry. Wrong Red Dawn. But congratulations anyway!

Ralph,

In the 1981-1982 school...there was a 'name the elephant' contest. Chameleon was the winning entry. I believe the name stuck for about as long as it took the class of '82 to vacate Sr. Hall in May of '82!!!

"Chameleon." I remember now. Hmm. Glad it didn't stick, though.

i'm with ralph. what kind of stupid name is that? was that during the boy george era, or were you guys just trying to be clever? how about "rufus" or "spike" or "cerce berman"? (anyone else out there a vonnegut fan?)
kristin- i love your idea of him/her being a lawn ornament. can you imagine driving by some suburban house and seeing that? say, with flowers planted around its feet?

Actually...it was before the Boy George craze by about 15 months, I think. YOU guys voted for it...not me! The whole HS had a week to vote on four or five finalist names.

I think I voted for Spiffy...or maybe Spots...or Winky...I don't remember. But I do know it got a slight mention in the '82 yearbook and that was that!

Hi Mary,

I think that you should have been prom queen since you are from that special class of 84 like me. Glad that you kids liked the cake. 84 will win whatever the special gift is at the next reunion because we will be coming out in FORCE!

Hi Dawn,

Congratulations!

I think that it took me about 15 mintures to put that basket together and as I was doing it I thought...hmmmm, I have 7 drink tickets and I've only used 1 so far, so let me throw a couple of these in there. I'm not a big drinker but I didn't want them to go to waste so I hope that you were able to use them....and enjoyed the basket goodies.

After a couple drinks, I thought that those pop rocks candy packets would be pretty fun.

I hope that you enjoyed all of the basket goodies. :D

Hi Shari,
Your cake was awesome, and must have taken you a long
time to decorate. You are talented. I'm sharing the candy with the
kids...yes...even the Pop Rocks!

Thanks again,
