Thought I'd start a thread people can jump into if, in the course of their life or business, they have an occasion to travel, maybe, just maybe...there's a chance to buy ein bier for another MAHSer in the area.

Well, here you go, just let 'em know and maybe someone will show! I know life has a way of getting in the way...so in no way should people feel compelled or obligated, know what I mean?

*************************************************************

I'll go first and I'm buying for anyone who cares to show up...I'll be in the bar around 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 20 ( http://marriott.com/property/propertypa ... Code=DALCL ) wearing a Red Sox baseball cap (more than likely the only one doing so). If you can swing it, stop on by and say hello.

Tony

hmmmmm....that's not a bad idea....

Ok....I'm at a conference in the far off city of Baltimore...October 16-19 so Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday night I'll meet you in the hotel bar...then we can go to someplace with more character than a hotel bar. Bertha's perhaps? Eat Bertha's Mussels! (http://www.berthas.com/)

Anyway, I'll be here:
http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/BWIWF

so let me know

Ok...so here's what you missed tonight.

The James Joyce pub...live irish music....four black and tans...and, if you can believe it, an FC Bayern game on the tv.

Of course, it's only 9:37...if anyone still wants to have a pint or two let me know.

Tony, I live about 20 minutes from Las Colinas but unfortunately I'm attending my kid's play at school that night. Hope you enjoy your stay in Big D (home of the rejuvinated Dallas Cowboys...greatest franchise in sports history...that should fire up Yankee fans!)

Russ,

Another time, perhaps. The way it's shaping up, I should be getting to the DFW area about once every five or six weeks for a while. I grew up in Grand Prairie during the 'Boys heyday...I was a Raiders fan though. Lived in Allen from 91-94 when they had another good run...I liked them then though.

But...having been in New England when Bledsoe, Parcells and Glenn were together the first time around...all I can say is expect the Bledsoe melt down anytime around week 9!

Enjoy the play, we'll catch you later.

Tony

So...anyone show up to have a drink with YOU?

Even if not, it's a good idea. I hope everyone does this as they travel around...good way to have some quick get-togethers.

Yeah, I was overwhelmed...of course, none of the people I was having a drink with were from MAHS, but why nit pick?

We'll keep trying, just the same. Next stop for me is Atlanta the week of November 7...watch this space for details!

This is a great idea, Tony. My travel slate is clean at the moment, but I will check for folks who'll be coming to Filthydelphia...

Hey Tony,
Steve and Meg Hoffman live in Atlanta. You definitely need to get in touch with them. You better let me know when you get to old DC. I bet John would even make an excuse to have a trip up this way from NC.

Mary,

I was homebody for most of the last year because of a big old project we had to deliver locally. Now that that's done, I've got to run around a little more than normal.

Back to Dallas in December...Orlando in January...stay tuned for details! I might have a whole hour layover at Reagan National in January...I gotta check that out though...

Later on!

Tony

This trip's chock full and a short one to boot, but if anyone's looking to kill some time over a breakfast latte on the 7th, let me know!
