Hi Matt,

This is Bob Collins. I recall I am the one that gave you the nick name Aussie!!
We hung out together for awhile in the 9th grade. I also remember carrying you to the restroom at the football field and putting your broken ankle in the toliet since we did not have any ice.

I certanly do remember you. And, I remember breaking my ankle, but I don't remember putting in the toilet! And I think it was your dad, wasn't it that gave me the nickname "Aussie" because he had served with some Australians in Vietnam. Am I remembering that correctly? Anyhow - what are you up to now? I am a professor of philosophy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, and have a Thai wife and Aussie/Thai daughter. I also get Vietnam quite often. I have lectured at the university in Can Tho in the Mekong Delta and visit Saigon and Hanoi quite often (taking study groups through there) - and some of the places that my step-father served at during his time in Vietnam. Funny how the world changes! Nice to hear from you - Cheers Matt

Good to hear from you Matt.
I used to get on this site on a regular basis a few years ago but never really found anyone form the 70's.
I am married with two girls (14 and 11). I quit my 6 figure corporate job of 20 years about 3 years ago and bought a farm in Iowa. I am now farming 110 acres and milking 300 dairy goats.
I guess if I ever get tired of this I can fall back on my MBA and get a real job again.

Hi Bob, and again to you, Matt!

Bob, good to hear from you! I have wondered what and where your paths lead you since high school! How do you like living in Iowa? My sister in law lives in Clive. She's been there about 6 or 7 years. We are still "meaning to go visit"....
I'll bet it smells crisp and clean like earth and woods and grass after it rains there..... How do you like farming? Bob, are you in there getting all dirty and working outside from dawn til dusk? If so, what a huge change from your previous station. Bet you're lovin' it though! Do you remember Bob Barkley, '80? I may be wrong, but I think he, too, lives in Iowa....

Chris:
Noticed your post to Bob Collins. I just wanted to clarify that I am in Moscow, Idaho. I still check this site out semi regularly and see what people are up to. It is good to see that so many MAHSers are on this site.

Bob:
Farming in Iowa! Most excellent. I don't expect that you remember me but I was in Munich 72' through 75' and then again 78' through 80'. You may remember my sister Barbara, graduating in 75'.

I remember you very well Matt. You were a really nice guy. It has been very intriging reading about what you've done in your life. Let's see if you remember me. I was a really crazy kid and I drove everyone nuts. My name? Blue Parker. I was at MAHS from Aug. 75--Aug. 77. I live in Charleston,South Carolina where I was born and raised. I NEVER married but I do have two children and one grandchild. I teach kindergarten at one of the local schools here. Have you ever corressponded with anyone else from MAHS? I really would love to find Robert Huddleston. He played basketball for the school. Please e-mail me. I would love to talk with someone from "back in the day".

Blue Parker
