I noticed that there is a small MAHS group on myspace. Does anyone have a myspace account? I do, but hardly use it. Just wondering if it might be one more way to reach some of our alumni!

Great idea Patty. Try to send a message or announcement to the myspace site and see if you can get them to check into our official site here and register for the reunion.

Can't hurt....see what happens.

My brother Travis, sister Gina, Phil Santos, Marika, Heather (St. Louis ), Keith St. Louis, Cindi (Tumbleson), Sharon (Largent), and myself all have 'myspaces'. Mine is marked as my web site on my profile.

I have a MySpace page. It's http://www.myspace.com/jstbkz. There are actually a lot of MAHSers on MySpace... and we always welcome more!

I am on myspace ,but have to admit to not being able to find my way around there. I got used to facebook first and it is quite different I think.
There are 139 MAHSérs in Barbara´s group at facebook, but our school isn´t in the school listings, therefore to find it you have to search Munich American High School in the search square.
Why not join both? So far it is free.
I miss this forum though. Been a bit quiet.

it has been quiet lately, carolyn. very quiet. eerily quiet. where is everyone do you suppose? where is the eager banter and witty repartee between the debating political factions and the geeky, sublime, inside jokers?
it's just you and i now.
and i got your facebook msg, by the way. i'll respond today, but just quickly: count me in for sure too. i am keen to get back to europe, i think you and julie and i are going to have a grand time. and i'm sure a few others will end up there with us, one way or another. so, even better. there's no reason why i should be able to make it over there in the spring. i do love spring in germany. the ides of march is when the crocoses bloom, oddly enough. and i love it. i love sitting outside in the cold, bundled into a warm coat, drinking a hot coffee and feeling that spring is in the air b/c the sun is shining. yes, i love it.
so, we're definitely on.

Hey Caroline and Jojo,

Definitely looking forward to our mini reunion!! Have we decided where this is going to be??

I am guilty of not popping in enough lately, too much going on. Back at college  One more exam to go (end of Nov) -three hours one question! Not nice, wish me luck!! So study, working long hours, looking for a new job and theres a new man - kinda keeps me busy.

I promise to check in more now!

Julie,
You only have to pop in when you have the time! Can´t expect you to give up your goals and your "new" man! Glad to hear things are going your way!
I beleive that we have narrowed it down to Munich or London. I am still trying to figure out what I most want. Jojo made a point, that there may be others who would join in if we chose Munich.
We should maybe start a mini reunion thread :D
Send us a message with your thoughts!

julie--TONS of luck, knock 'em dead, up and at 'em, pip pip, etc. am sending you good vibes, but i'm guessing you don't need them. you'll be stellar and kick ass. (i can say "ass" on the board, right, mr bill?)
by the way, am reading "eminent victorians" by strachey, which is another of your kinsmen, writing about more of your kinsmen. very interesting. not that you have time for recreational reading, i guess. just thought i'd let you know.
as for the reunion, gals: i think any city in europe is fine with me, although i think a major international airport and some knowledge of the location are a benefit. munich and london are excellent options, although i'm not against paris, florence, valencia, strassburg, vienna, venice, barcelona, berlin, dresden, copenhagen, amsterdam, bruge, st. petersberg, istanbul, rome, prague, brussels, budapest, edinburgh, cambridge, etc. i'm open. some of those cities i've visited, others not. convenience is a factor b/c of price, so that may be an issue. otherwise, europe is our oyster. (i'm including the UK in that.) feel free to contribute preferences.
i think we're thinking spring. julie when are you free?

Jojo, which spring? 2009 or 2010?
I think we should take Munich. I feel like that could be a blast to see the place again with other Mahsérs.
But If some one decides on one of those many other cities, I am still in.
Is Munich more expensive than other cities? I doubt it.
So how do we go about actually making a choice?
A poll maybe?

Well, I am off to Amsterdam for some days.......
