Unfortunately, I can't say it was a happy ending, but I can say the wait to find my brother is over. Daren vanished in 1995 and until just recently was found via DNA evidence.

The case is still in progress, so please check back for more detail. My mother, sister, and I are very appreciative of all the law enforcement, university students/professors, and volunteers over the years that have contributed hard work to solving my brother's disappearance.

Some details can be seen on:

Never give up. I hope justice will be served soon.

Denis,

You have my deepest condolences. I remember your brother very well and he will be missed. Please pass along my regrets to your mother too. She was always a really nice lady.

I know I am very late to this thread. My condolences to Denis and the rest of his family.

I remember Daren well, we were classmates from 7th grade up...maybe before too; my memory is fuzzy from before Mrs. McHenry's class at Bad Aibling Elementary.

I just wanted to add too, for anyone who might be interested that after reading this (sadly more than a year after it was posted) I did some snooping on the 'net and found that the murder trial is set to begin tomorrow (Sept. 1, 2009). Daren's family will be in my thoughts. I hope that some semblance of justice is served and that it may bring some measure of comfort to those loved ones left behind.
