Mr. Porter died of lung cancer April 29th, 1989 in Munich. He was only 62. He is buried at Arlington Memorial Cemetary Wash. D.C. Rank was a C.W.O. 4 Army (section # 60 I believe.) His wife Theresa is buried there as well. She passed away Feb. 10th 2000 in Augusta, Georgia of arteriosclerosis at 75 years of age. My dad often said "if I can just teach one student out of my class how to be a mechanic and make a career I'd be happy." Posted by Glenn Porter ( Son) Oct. 21st 2010.

I took autoshop in my junior year and became mr. Porters teachers assistant in my senior year. I enjoyed the freedom he gave us to work on the cars and I learned quite a lot. Did not make a career out of it but
it still comes in handy when I have problems with my car.

Dear Glen I hope you remember me. I adored your parents! They were so sweet to me. I remember many afternoons and nights sitting and talking with them. And when they let me take PASHA for walks I felt like the luckiest kid in the world. They were wonderful
folks and I know they are missed by many. Think you know who this is? This is Blue Parker. I live in Charleston,South Carolina where I was born and raised. I have two children and one grandchild. How are you? How about your sister Sonja? Please e-mail me I'd love to hear from you.

Blue Parker
