Indeed. He did. Early yesterday morn I think. I"m working on a proper in memoriam here, but I would like to encourage everyone who has something to say about Mr. A do so. The messages are more readily accessable here than on FaceBook after a week or so. He meant a great deal to many of us, and I've got stories I'd like to tell, but if someone else has any, please feel free to post.

For those who might be in the area, or up for a trip to Boston:

Mr. Akimoto's memorial service will be at 2 pm on Sat, Feb. 12 at Christ Church Cambridge (Zero Garden Street, Cambridge, MA; basically on Harvard Square).

Mr. Akimoto was the best teacher I had at MAHS. What a wonderful man. I wasn't wise enough to stay in touch over the years. But I did find this online, I enjoyed learning about his life and seeing that he hadn't changed much! Still had that smile and twinkle.

I knew him from 6th grade on through past my Senior Year. Best teacher I had in Munich, hands down.
