From Dan McMahon ~ Class of 82

Quote:
I finally got with the program and got a digital
camera this past year. Now that I've hit the big 4-0
and spend as much time looking back as looking ahead
(I'm counting on 50 being the new 30 when the time
comes!), I wish I'd had a camera of any sort handy
throughout those great teen and twenties years.
I've attached some "now" pictures for the site. The
first one is my wife Charmaine, my son Jonah and me
from this past summer.

The second one is from my 40th
b-day party, early on, way before the keg was killed,
the four bottles of premiun tequila were empty, etc.
and I wasn't in any photogenic state at all. Funny,
my shirt isn't much different than the one you've got
on in your picture. Haha.

Hey Dan
Sorry I haven't returned your call yet but I will. I see you and I have the same shirt styles. How many do you own? I've got 14 but since I bought my Harley my wardrob has changed to lots of black with eagles and silver but I still wear my "hawaiian" shirts.
You guys look great unlike me "round in the center" but I'm working on my pictures with my dig camera but I'm not to good with these things. I just bought a printer that does everything so can you come to my house and teach me?
Tell your wife (Champaign) I said hello and ya"ll take care!!

Later,

Von

Dan,

You look great. I would definately be able to recognize you walking down the street.

Wow, Dan, You look great! How is your sister Lisa doing? I remember when she had her jaw operated on and had to drink through a straw for weeks on end. It was a great way to lose weight! We had French class together. Say hello to her for me.

Hey Maren and John,

Thanks for the kind words. You both look great too. We're not doing bad as a class hitting age 40! I went to my wife's 10 and 20 year high school reunions and alot of her classmates were really looking OLD. All that fresh Bavarian air (and beer) at a young age must be the key. Nice to hear from you and l look forward to seeing you both at the reunion whenever and wherever it is.

Hey Dan!

Just thought I'd drop a quick note to see how you're doing! You look great in the pictures - don't look a day over 40!!

We're back in the USA having moved to York, PA in July 2006. Matthew went back to CHPPM at APG and we bought an older home here that needs a little TLC but the size works really well for our small army! We're up to our eyeballs in home renovation, fall baseball, soccer, volleyball and I just got an email that basketball starts next week! Meghan went to homecoming last weekend and now some other guy keeps calling the house - yikes!!! I'm so not ready for that!

How are you?!?! How's your family and sister?

Drop a line when you get the chance!

I think my aunt is the some kind of elected official (auditor maybe?) for a township near you--Codorus or something.

Not that that really matters, I guess, just seeing that you're in York made me remember that.

Hope all is well with you.
