Back in either 75 or 76 we had an awesome AJBC bowling league. The highest averaged junior bowlers got an invitation to go to a championship bowling conference. If I remember correctly, our teams consisted of Darrell Picard, Mike Duncan, Valieta Hampton, Mary Hampton, Steve Riegler, Dawn Miller, and a couple of others that I just can't put my finger on right now. Anyway as the tourney progressed, Munich's team ended up in second and a German team in first going into the final game. We were having such a good time and we were so relaxed that we beat the crap out of the German team and took home the FIRST PLACE trophy. I still have mine somewhere up in the attic.

No matter what the sport of choice was at MAHS, it was always an awesome experience with chartered overnight away games.

I'll have to post more about our Championship Girls Basketball team...

Thanks for the run down memory lane.

Dawn Miller, 81

I bowled in that league. I vividly remember Saturday mornings at the bowling alley waiting for the first sausages to be ready...I'd purposely skip breakfast just to have one early. I also recall dropping a lot of quarters in the Evel Kinievel pinball machine.

My brother was Darrell Picard who graduated in 1978. I (Brion) graduated in 1976. He's going to get a kick out of hearing this.
