It is very quiet here!
Jon, I bet it is an honor to be made fun of on SNL.
I take it your love for BO hasnīt grown, but is it worse than you thought?
US politics is hard to understand, but isnīt it hard to get things accomplished, the very first year for any president, when there is a serious recession. No one expects things fixed so soon do they? _________________ Clamo,

May not be an honor, but I'm betting it's expected as SNL has pretty much always operated on the Abbie Hoffman mantra that "Sacred cows make the best hamburger."
Plus, there's nothing wrong with criticizing your leader, even if you support him, if you don't agree with him. Simply being on the same team doesn't imply universal support if their actions need a good and honest critique. It doesn't make you disloyal to the party to point out if your party's leader is straying. I'm often surprised at the "fiddling while Rome burns" approach taken by party loyalists. Ultimately self-defeating. An unexamined political life is not worth living...to paraphrase Socrates. |

Agreed. I like OB, but thought it was really a funny satire.
I often watch The Daily Show, and they too did some pretty funny scetches about OB.
Socrates, said it well, but I could change it a wee bit, to, " A life unexamined is not worth living". _________________ Clamo,

Which is what the quote actually is...I added the "political" to it...hence the paraphrase. So i did it with...
...wait for it...
...apologies.
C'mon! Give it up you philosophy majors! you KNOW that was funny! |

You mean there really ARE philosophy majors out there? So-Crates would be happy to hear that...or WOULD he? _________________ Tony Savageau

I remember learning the phrase that goes something like...I am smart, because I know that I know nothing...
I live by that phrase, my good excuse for knowing nothing and still thinking I am smart.
Plus in my line of work, we are always told to ask questions, the Socrates way. Thereīs no way like the Socrates way!
Found these phrases, and actually recognize some from a far away time when we had to philosofy in school. ( is that a made up word?)

Found your phrase too Mr. Bill _________________ Clamo,

And what great philosopher said this?
